It’s Time To Gather Again! AHEA’s 2022 Trade Fair & Fellowship Event
June 3 & 4th at the Westerner’s Prairie Pavilion in Red Deer, Alberta
This year’s event is slightly modified from our usual AHEA Convention. We know that shopping and visiting with like-minded friends new and old have always been exciting parts of getting together. Given that we only have had a short time to plan, we know you’ll understand why we couldn’t bring in a full slate of speakers like we usually do, but AHEA still wanted to give Alberta’s home educators a chance to gather again!
Our gathering space will be available to enjoy,
for ticket holders, during our ample shopping hours:
Friday, June 3: Noon to 7 pm
Saturday, June 4: 11 am - 6 pm
Shop 'Til You Drop
We have an amazing exhibit hall full of wonderful exhibitors that you can see and ask your questions to in person. You will once again have the opportunity to see curriculum, as well as other products, up close and in your hands! Oh, how we have missed that!
There will also be associate school boards, post secondary institutions and many other home education-related businesses and organizations coming who can’t wait to see you face to face. Space For Friends & Fellowship
We know how badly we all want to socialize and connect. Those of us who come to the convention regularly remember how encouraging this irreplaceable aspect of the experience is. There will be a large dedicated space with tables and chairs so we can all take time to rest in between shopping, grab a snack, lunch or beverage from the concession stand and maybe get a long-awaited handshake or hug that we have been missing. Children and youth are welcome – reasonably priced tickets are available and a family price cap makes it affordable for everyone.

AHEA – New Home Educator Information Session
Immediately following the Friday evening AHEA talk, this very popular favourite is returning… Great for those who are new to, or interested in, home educating your kids, grandkids or for those who are supporting those in your church or community who are new to home educating. This 1-hour information session on Friday evening at 8pm is for you! Come early for the AHEA talk, and then stay to have many of the typical “What is homeschooling” and “Can I homeschool?” type of questions answered.
You do not need a Trade Fair attendee ticket to attend either of the Friday evening events.
If you want a no-cost option, these are the session you will want to plan to attend!

Session Attendees Special Draws!
DRAW #1 – Attendees of the Friday night sessions will be able to enter their name in to win a $50 gift certificate that will be drawn at the end of the meeting. It can be spent at any product vendor in our exhibit hall this year. Note: The certificate must be used by the end of shopping hours on Saturday, June 4th.
DRAW #2 - For those who attend the Saturday morning AHEA session, you will be able to enter your name in to win a $50 gift certificate that will be drawn at the end of the meeting and is spendable at any product vendor in our exhibit hall this year. Certificate must be used by the end of shopping hours on Saturday, June 4th. You will need an attendee ticket to attend this session. The option to pre-register for this session will be given on the ticket order website after you chose your ticket types.

Each attendee will get an entry to the draw just for coming to the the Trade Fair & Fellowship! AHEA has a Cash & Pass prize – 1 FREE Couple’s Registration for the 2023 Convention & $25 cash. The draws will take place after the event has closed on Saturday evening, June 4, 2022. Winners will be contacted via text and/or email to arrange for prize delivery.
